The Magazine, Newspaper, and
Online Journalism departments at the
S.I. Newhouse School, Syracuse University,
seek an experienced multiplatform journalist
with strong writing, editing, and multimedia
experience to teach many of our undergraduate
and graduate students to produce interactive
content using multiple media. This is a
tenure-track appointment at the
assistant or associate professor level, with a
requirement to teach and to pursue a
research-creative agenda – preferably related to
creation and delivery of content online.
Significant experience at a national magazine or
newspaper and affiliated Web sites, or at a major
online magazine; facility with photography and
video editing; experience working in social media;
and content management. Candidate must
demonstrate hands-on content creation.
Master’s or other advanced degree preferred.
Previous teaching experience is not required,
but you must show classroom potential.
