Noire Digerati is an organization that uses persuasive technology to spark the interest of black digital natives in technology, gaming, animation, mobile computing, and interactive media beyond consumption, while breaking down the digital divide. We’re looking for writers who have a passion for covering and analyzing the social issues related to technology. For the most part you’re responsible for coming up with creative content for the site. Periodically, you will be given special projects that will require research and data analysis to complete.
Your posts will be submitted through Squarespace and should be on average between 300-400 words. Successful writers should have a basic knowledge of SEO, creativity, superior writing skills, research skills, and basic data analysis.
This position is paid on a per-post basis, with funds disbursed monthly.
Required Skills:
- Applicants must be well-versed in a wide range of social issues related to computing, with the ability to articulate argument as an expert.
- Time management is a must.
- Multimedia experience
- A passion for the development (not consumption!) side of gaming, animation, mobile computing, and interactive media is a plus
- Integrity
- At least a year of writing experience
- A bachelors degree or higher
